连载于「花与梦」的漫画「SKIPPED BEAT(华丽的挑战)」(原作：仲村佳樹)早前就决定于今年秋天推出动画版，目前已预定于10月5日开播。「SKIPPED BEAT」原作共发售了18卷，是一部累计发行超过600万册的超人气漫画，讲述了因偶然的契机而进入艺能界的少女独自一人波折迭出的成功故事。
动画版的制作交由曾制作过「ARIA」「暗夜魔法使」的ハルフィルムメーカー负责，在4月人气新番「吸血鬼骑士」中有出色表现的佐山聖子将担当本作的监督，而曾担当过「ZEGAPAIN」系列构成・脚本的关岛真赖也将会参与到本作的制作中。CAST方面，井上麻里奈、小西克幸和宮野真守三位大人气声优将分别演绎三位主角。
【故事介绍】
每日努力打工的少女恭子有个秘密，那就是与青梅竹马的最近成为人气歌手的不破尚共同生活的事。然而，一心潜入TV局所听到的充满冲击性的事实却是…！？纯真、复仇、恋爱，漫画史上最火热的艺能界故事即将展开……
