剧情简介
退休多年的老警官查尔瓦伊因患有阿兹海默症(早老性痴呆症)，所以他在一家接受人体功能退化治疗及精神康疗中心安了家。他很快就适应了这里的环境，但是他发现这里的病人一个接着一个地离奇死。而医院给出的解释是这些人都得了心肌梗塞。但是查尔瓦伊多年培养出的敏锐观察力让他认为这些人是被谋杀的。尽管查尔瓦伊有病在身，但他还是着手开始了调查。
查尔瓦伊找到了证据，但是没有人相信他的话，因为查尔瓦伊还是个病人。一天晚上，新上任的护士长贝阿蒂斯要给查尔瓦伊打针，查尔瓦伊奋力反抗，最后他用早已准备好的手枪打死了贝阿蒂斯。原来，这家疗养院对公寓内的病人进行药物试验长达六个月，而贝阿蒂斯与20多位病人的死有关联。事实证明，查尔瓦伊的推断是正确的，这家疗养院的医生其实是变相的谋杀犯。
