看了几个版本，目前来看，我觉得剪得最好的是NBC版本。
尽管美国全国广播公司（NBC）将转播时间迟到了近12个小时，由其在美国独家授权转播的北京奥运会开幕式收视率仍然在美国打破了“历史纪录”：创下在美国本土之外举行的夏季奥运会收视人数新高。
NBC真是好人啊，总之，凡是挖鼻孔，打哈欠，煽扇子的有损中国形象的都删掉了,绝大部分都是精彩的远景,然后转部分近景,每一个过渡段的时候都是重新回到鸟巢的航拍远景和北京夜景，非常舒服地过渡,有如NBA转播时候的暂停感觉一样， 远景俯瞰体育馆淡出，在暂停完毕后再远景俯瞰切入体育场内,不去找观众席和主席台.几乎没有观众席上的扇子，抠鼻孔等丑陋镜头。近距观众镜头只有几个，都是一带而过。 主席台上只有胡和罗格，布什等出现过数次以上，其他人只是在该国运动员出现时候才拍一下站起来的镜头。没有看到江的镜头和其他大陆领导人的镜头。
剪辑得很紧凑，以至于去掉了木偶戏，京剧部分。所以主播说有人打电话进去要求他们不要cut任何镜头的时候，文艺节目已经快表演完了。主播承诺不cut，结果冗长的队员出场仪式全有,这是比较遗憾的地方。
