《无畏上将高尔察克》以俄国著名海军上将高尔察克为主人公，讲述他传奇的军旅生涯和爱情生活。高尔察克在日俄战争和第一次世界大战中曾任波罗的海舰队作战部长、水雷总队队长以及大名鼎鼎的“黑海舰队”司令。
高尔察克（1874-1920）：俄国海军上将，苏俄内战和外国武装干涉时期白卫军首领之一。生于圣彼得堡。1894年毕业于海军武备学校。参加过日俄战争。第一次世界大战中，曾任波罗的海舰队作战部长、水雷总队队长、黑海舰队司令。1917年二月革命后辞职，流亡英、美。1918年10月返抵鄂木斯克，11月出任反对苏维埃的“西伯利亚政府”陆海军部部长，在外国干涉者支持下发动政变，推翻社会革命党—孟什维克政府，建立军事独裁政权，自封“俄国最高执政”和陆海军总司令。1919年春率白卫军向苏维埃共和国猖狂进犯，一度占领西伯利亚、乌拉尔和伏尔加河一带。同年底被Mv.伏龙芝指挥的红军击溃，逃到伊尔库茨克后被捷克军团逮捕。翌年 1月被引渡给社会革命党—孟什维克“政治中心”，随后在起义工人要求下转交给布尔什维克伊尔库茨克革命委员会，2月被枪决。
