【劇情介紹】
劉堅(李連傑)是一名中國特工，受命前往巴黎幫助警察局偵破當地毒品走私集團。由於任務極度敏感，上級並沒有告知劉堅具體的任務細節。他到達巴黎後，很順利地與聯繫人接上了頭，並在聯繫人的陪同下，去見他受命與之合作的警察局高級偵探理查德（切基·卡尤飾演）。經過一系列的波折，劉堅頭一次與理查德面對面，就親眼目睹他將一名嫌犯毆打致死。理查德實際上是販毒集團成員，他預謀殺害並誣陷劉堅。於是影片的第一段武打好戲就在旅館和洗衣房上演了。身手矯健、機智過人的劉堅隻身擊退了幾十名理查德的打手的追擊，成功脫身，並結識了美國人潔西卡（布裡奇特·芳達飾演）。潔西卡的女兒被理查德挾持，潔西卡自己也因為吸毒受到理查德的脅迫，成為妓女。因為理查德的誣陷，劉堅被指控犯有謀殺罪。他與潔西卡為情勢所迫，不得不聯手共同對付陰險狡詐的對手，企望能掙脫圈套，重獲新生。
