【劇情簡介】：
丹尼·費舍爾是新奧爾良警署的優秀幹員。在三年前對愛爾蘭恐怖分子邁爾斯·傑克遜的一次追捕行動中，他把邁爾斯和女友逼到了死胡同裏。邁爾斯爲了讓女友逃出窘境，讓她自己先逃，不料這時正好有一輛車開來，他的女友當場被撞死。傷心欲絕的邁爾斯也束手就擒。
在監獄裏呆了三年之後，邁爾斯獲得了假釋。他出獄後的第一件事就是找費舍爾--他要爲三年前死去的女友複仇。他燒掉了費舍爾的房子和車子，并且綁架了費舍爾的女朋友。但是邁爾斯沒有急于撕票，而是給費舍爾設了一個陷阱。他要求費舍爾按照他的提示和指引一步一步完成十二個任務。如果失敗一個，那麽他會馬上殺掉費舍爾的女朋友莫莉。爲了完成這些不可能完成的任務，費舍爾找來了自己的老搭檔喬治。在三年前的那次追捕中，喬治一直懊悔自己沒有能親手了結邁爾斯，這次喬治如願以償的機會來了。
十二個難度層層遞進的回合之後，費舍爾成功營救出了自己心愛的女人，而邁爾斯也在逃亡的過程中，死于直升機墜毀。
