剧情简介：
电影版的《星舰迷航记》，从第八集开如已经进入全新班底的第二个世代，回顾十八年前拍摄的电影版第一集，无疑是一次颇有意思的科幻电影之旅。本片在同名电视影集停播十年之后于银幕上重生，花了四千万美元的制作费来营造出恢宏的太空片史诗的气魄。由威廉姆．赛特纳饰演的寇克船长奉命最后一次指挥企业号宇宙飞船对抗外星人对地球的大规模攻击，他召集旧部和新队员执行任务，双方展开了一场殊死战。老牌导演罗伯特．怀斯处理本片的手法有点老气横秋，缺乏同时期《星际大战》那种虎虎有风的生气，但视觉映象还是相当具有震撼力。
