◎简 介
明朝，嘉靖年间，沿海倭寇(泛指当时的日本海盗)蜂起。嘉靖三十六年，浙江岑港被倭寇毛海峰占据。抗倭名将俞大猷（洪金宝 饰）围攻数月战局仍然僵持，终于在新人戚继光（赵文卓 饰）的指挥下，重振士气，大破敌军，但敌军主力还是逃脱了追击。
戚继光爲了根绝倭寇之患，招募义乌县县民成立戚家军。戚家军根据倭寇的特点钻研各种战术，成为明军抵抗倭寇的重要部队。嘉靖四十年，倭寇集结重兵再次进犯沿海城市，新河与台州同时受到攻击，戚家军腹背受敌、决意兵分两路解救。虽然戚家军的家属们大多留守新河，爲了国家大义戚继光毅然领军前去防守台州重镇，而由戚夫人（万茜 饰）则留守新河带领官兵迎敌。没想到战事历时近一个月，双方陷入相持不下的局面……
