一家位于云林西螺的养老院、一个带点无厘头的男看护、几个怪怪的老人和一位冷艳的舞蹈老师……生命看来好像不会再有新鲜事，但每个老人却仍有自己私密的欲望。
三十出头的看护刘必然洞悉老人的欲望，也总是尽量以不合常规的方式去满足他们的欲望。无意间一位美丽高挑却冷若冰霜的女子出现了，她是镇上新来的舞蹈老师吴如萍。大伙透过窗户看到她曼妙的舞姿，都深深的被她吸引，这群爱跳舞的老人们更是不由自主地打起拍子来。
老人们决议请吴如萍来教他们跳舞。而这位突然来到的舞蹈老师似乎燃起了所有老人的生机。裹着神秘面纱的吴如萍身世为何？她为什么来到这个小镇？这个夜晚，她的车子被三个陌生男子砸了，但她并不报警，是否另有隐情？
经营不善的养老院危机悄悄来临，台北的基金会正酝酿着将它出售给财团的阴谋，院长指示快快把老人们安置到其他地方，而所有人却都想留到养老院的最后一天。为了不留下任何遗憾，老人们决定参加国标舞比赛，于是大伙开始使尽各种奇招，想办法藉着跳舞来为生命留下最后一道闪亮的火花。
