华纳早在去年9月就已经在筹划一部忍者主题的乐高电影《乐高忍者》。《忍者》是乐高2011年推出的一个主题，有玩具、游戏、漫画等产品热销。电影故事中，主人公有忍者、日本武士、空手道高手，他们的对手是龙、蛇人，以及大反派“邪恶军阀”，他试图重新夺回自己的霸权地位。
《乐高大电影》的制作人罗伊·李（《驯龙高手》）和丹·林（《大侦探福尔摩斯》）将与《乐高大电影》导演菲尔·罗德和克里斯·米勒一同制作《乐高忍者》。导演则由查理·宾（Charlie Bean）担任，他此前一直在幕后做系列剧，曾担任过《海绵宝宝》、《武士杰克》、《飞天小女警》、《莱恩和史丁比》等剧的分镜艺术家，最新导演作品是《创：崛起》。《乐高忍者》因为提早已经在做准备，可能在《乐高大电影2》之前与观众见面。
