2009韩国超模大赛9月25日下午在韩国京畿道综合运动场举行。Super Junior、孙淡妃、少女时代、SS501、张润贞和朴铉斌等著名歌手纷纷到现场造势，韩国著名偶像派影星柳时元做为特邀主持更是引来现场观众阵阵尖叫。此外，参加此次庆典的嘉宾还有韩国浦项市市长朴承浩先生，韩国最受欢迎的服装设计师安德烈金先生，韩国最具人气的超级模特李少拉女士等等，他们的到来，无疑使此次大赛变成了一场无与伦比的“Fashion Festival”。参赛的选手是从亚洲四国预选出来的33位模特，担任此次大赛的16位评委会成员，分别来自韩国，泰国，日本和中国。做为中国地区唯一的评委是有着博士学位的，中国十佳时尚评论员孙铁麟先生。这位曾经担任过中国时代风尚数字频道总监，香港TVB全球华人新秀中国赛区总评委的时尚精英表示“2009亚太超级模特大赛已不仅仅是模特T台的秀场，所有参加比赛的选手更是各国时尚女性的代表，每个人身上都带有其国家的的特色和对美的不同理解，所以当四国选手共同比赛同台竞技时，互相碰撞出的是一次次文化的交融，是一场不可不看的视觉盛宴。同时，伴奏“超级模特选拔大赛”并不单纯的是增强亚洲各国输出超级名模的品牌价值，这场赛事也是宣传韩国时尚、文化、旅游的一场生动镜像，并由此成为率先开启亚洲太平洋文化交流盛事的主角。此次大赛无论从策划到实施，以及现场的各个细节，选手们的出色表现，都无疑得成为亚洲最具权威的模特选拔赛及时尚庆典。”
