剧情：
《次郎長三國志》是一部由成-人制作獻給成-人的古裝娛樂“純情巨篇”，有原汁原味的古道熱腸，也有超越經典舊作的全新感動。
次郎長（中井貴一飾）告別新婚的妻子阿蝶（鈴木京香飾），帶領手下們外出進行長達一年的修行。在他麾下，除了作為左膀右臂的軍師大政（岸部一德飾），還有法印之大五郎（野高史飾）、森之石鬆（溫水洋一飾）、追分政五郎（北村一輝飾）這幾位性格各異的能人。在旅途之中，不少人為次郎長的氣概折服，加入了他的隊伍。
回到清水後不久，次郎長準備再度出行。這次不僅阿蝶也加了進來，次郎長甚至還收留了一無是處的大野之鶴吉（木下邦家飾）。次郎長的名氣越來越大，成了威震東海道的第一豪俠。
所謂樹大招風，名聲給次郎長帶來了敵人。甲州最有勢力的黑駒之勝藏（佐藤浩市飾）、石鬆的宿敵且作惡多端的三馬政（竹內力飾）都視次郎長為眼中釘，而叛徒久六（蛭子能收飾）也來添亂。在混亂的局面中，阿蝶偏偏病倒了，次郎長陷入了困境。
究竟該怎麼辦？次郎長一行會做出怎樣的抉擇？一場壯絕之戰即將拉開帷幕……
