【内容简介】
故事围绕女主人公阿蝶30多年来爱情和性取向的成长之路展开。少年时期的阿蝶(陈逸宁饰)因被父亲(曾江饰)洞悉其性取向而遭到猛烈打骂，对同性的欲望被深深压在心底。已婚的阿蝶(何超仪饰)是一名娴淑的教师，丈夫(葛民辉饰)对她疼爱有加，他俩更诞下一个可爱的小孩，三人世界倍感温馨。可惜这种看似完美的家庭生活不能让阿蝶满足，当她偶遇神秘少女(田原饰)，激起了她体内沉睡已久的欲望，不惜自毁一手建立的大好家庭，投向一段不被世俗认同的禁色之恋。
女主角忘我演出同性激情
何超仪曾在今年的香港电影金像奖凭借限制级影片《豪情》中“骨女”一角获得“最佳女配角”奖项。奖项揭晓后，围绕何超仪的评价褒贬不一，有评价说她的演出还是遮遮掩掩，不够“放”。在麦婉欣的《蝴蝶》里，这种负面的评价恐怕要被何超仪的忘我演出击破。两位女主角，毫不吝惜地在镜头前热吻缠绵，对于何超仪和新人田原来说，都是一次心理底线的挑战。导演曾与二人商量全裸演出，但最后还是决定穿内衣上阵。用何超仪自己的话说：“我都觉得很火爆！”
