TV Tokyo与Aniplex合作的“动画力量”企划下产生的第1弹作品「空之音」，将从2010年1月起在电视荧幕上与大家正式见面。由出品「王牌投手 振臂高挥」「神薙」等作并颇获大众好评的A-1Pictures负责动画制作，曾执导「音乐小彗星」「妖精的旋律」的神户守将出任本作监督，曾负责「舞-HiME」「MACROSS F」等佳作的吉野弘幸撰写剧本，人物原案是曾为小说「神的记事本」、游戏「炼金术士萝乐娜」等作绘画可爱的登场角色的人气插画师岸田メル，而赤井俊文则会在本作中首次担当动画人设这一重要职务，在电影、CM各个领域有活跃表现的大岛ミチル将负责本作的音乐创作。另外，作为动画版的先行预热，漫画版也从今年冬季起在「月刊Comic电击大王」上开载。
