愛媛県出身。圧倒的世界観と深く凛とした唯一無二の声を持つシンガーソングライター『Kaco』。2016年11月、Kan Sano氏や関口将史氏、只熊良介氏らを迎え、自身初のワンマンライブを開催。公演約一ヶ月前にソールドアウト。
今作「身じたく」は、Superflyやアンジェラアキなども手がけた松岡モトキ氏をサウンドプロデューサーに迎え、Kacoのすべてを詰め込んだ初全国盤EP。ピアノ弾き語りは元より、バンド編成を主体にした骨太な内容に仕上がった。
今作の軸となる1曲目「あお」は、ギター主体にしたバンドサウンド。Kacoのこれからを書き綴った渾身の一曲。自身の真骨頂である「スレートグレー」のような壮大な世界観を持つバラード曲では、ストリングスやギターの歪みを取り入れ、エモーショナルで深い音圧を表現。他には、耳障りの良いドラミング、爽快で疾走感溢れるメロディに、切ない歌詞を乗せた「ラピート」。新境地への片鱗を垣間見るキャッチーかつジャジーなビートで体を揺らす「大器晩成」。夏を感じられるケミカルな風合いの「クリームソーダ」や、楽曲の良さを弾き語りでダイレクトに伝える「ありふれた恋」を含む全6曲。
