劇情簡介
本片改編自日本漫畫家望月峰太郎的暢銷作品「龍頭」，在日本累積超過650萬本的銷售量，這也是他繼「笨金魚」（松岡錠司所導，90年）、「鮫肌男與桃尻女」（石井克人所導，99年）的第三部電影化作品。
畢業旅行歸途搭乘新幹線的高中生青木照（妻夫木聰飾）遭遇了不明的事故，而被關在靜岡的隧道中。僅有他與其他兩位同年級的瀨戶雅子（莎也加飾）和高橋伸雄（山田孝之飾）奇蹟似的生還。三個人沒有等待救援，伸雄被暗黑的力量吞噬而發瘋跑走，另一方面阿照跟雅子從恐怖的暗黑力量中逃脫出來，並從隧道脫困。
但是等著他們兩個人的是已經徹底荒廢的大地。到底發生了什麼事呢？是天崩地裂了？核彈爆發？還是時光錯亂了？兩人一邊交織著絕望和希望，以東京為歸途的目的地。但是，殘存在地面上的瘋狂自衛隊隊長仁村（藤木直人飾）、暴徒，和已經變種的人類，以及稱作（龍頭）的謎題出現在兩人面前。世界真的已經到了末日了嗎？阿照跟雅子又會有什麼遭遇呢？
為了呈現絕望的「末日」景觀，中亞乾燥的氣候跟廣大的土地，適合製造出「現今存在這個世上」的崩壞現場。電影中許多場面都是在荒涼的現場打造出來，90天嚴酷的拍攝，使用最先進的VFX技術，忠實描繪出「龍頭」漫畫中的末日淒涼景象。
