2005年2月23日に発表されたデビュー・シングル「radiance」でシーンに登場した時から、既に充分すぎるほどの存在感と異彩を放ちまくっていた川田まみ。繊細なビブラートを伸びやかに響かせたその刹那、一転してパワフルな絶唱を聴かせる彼女のヴォーカル・スタイルは、〈極北の情熱〉とでも呼びたくなるような、全く新しい声の魅力を湛えている。2007年10月31日に発売された自身5枚目となるマキシシングル「JOINT」で遂にオリコン初登場9位を記録。2008年3月にはは自身2枚目となるアルハ゛ム「SAVIA」を発売。急速的に進化を遂げる彼女から、これからも目が離せない。
