2011 年第一弾SgはTVアニメ「テガミバチREVERSE」オープニングテーマ!!
初の海外公演となるロンドン公演を成功に収めた2009 年。2010年は、4月にワールドベースボール・クラシックにインスパイアされて制作されたというNew Single「サヨナラホームラン」をリリース。続く5月にはオリジナル作品としては9作目となるNew Album「FUNKASTiC」をリリースし初登場2位を記録。このAlbumを含め、リリースした全13作品全てがアルバムチャートTOP10入りを果たし、男性ソロ・アーティストとしては歴代1位に輝いた。秋にはサッポロ黒ラベルのTVCMに出演しファンを驚かせたり、11月にはAlbumの海外（US＆UK）デジタル配信開始と同時に、自身2度目となるロンドン公演を含む「JAPAN-UKサーキット2010」を敢行。ロンドン公演では、前回の会場を大きく上回るライブハウスを満員とし再び大成功を収めた。2月にデビュー満14周年（15周年目）を迎え、ネクスト・ステップへと向かうスガシカオの2011年がスタートする。その第一弾はテレビ東京系TVアニメ「テガミバチREVERSE」のオープニングテーマ（2011年1月~）となる New Single。このシングル・リリースを皮切りにスガシカオのデビュー15周年へ向けたプロジェクトがスタートする!
