I bought the 1990 [BELL-370] LaserDisc in the hopes that the audio track would be useful, but unfortunately it suffers from noise reduction. You can barely make out the rain in the first 10 minutes. Fortunately the LaserDisc video and PCM captures were very useful as a timing reference. The AMZN WEB-DL (and DVD I guess?) have around 45 unnecessary edits that cause noticeable timing issues. I’ve corrected these without transcoding.
The track has been synced to USA BD. iirc the track needs a -1001ms delay for JPN BD video, [but you wouldn’t want to use the JPN BD video.](https://slow.pics/c/JxuspG5W)
The R2J DVD audio should probably be slightly better if [Animal Treasure Island is an indicator.]( https://nyaa.si/view/1712688) Or maybe the 1999 Toei LD (not listed on LDDB).
I’ve included the synced LD track and the audio capture an extra.
