《大雄的宇宙英雄記》是《哆啦A夢》第35部長篇電影動畫，也是《哆啦A夢》電影35週年的紀念作品，也是水田山葵配音團隊第 10 部電影作品。
此次劇場版為《哆啦A夢：大雄的祕密道具博物館》上映相隔兩年後，再度推出的原創劇場版劇情。導演首次請到曾擔任多部《哆啦A夢》電影版原畫的大杉宜弘負責執導，而劇本則是由清水東撰寫。
本次電影描述的在拍英雄電影的哆啦A夢一行人居然被人跟真正的「英雄」搞混，他們於是誤打誤撞的到「波庫魯星」（ポックル星），他們要想辦法幫忙這個星球解除即將到來的宇宙危機。
哆啦A夢、大雄、靜香、胖虎和小夫化身為宇宙英雄，與怪物進行戰鬥。哆啦A夢有著超級重錘，喜歡洗澡的靜香能控制水，胖虎有著超級力量，小夫的胳膊上有鑽頭，而大雄居然是翻花繩！？
