【劇情簡介】：
動蕩的時代下，武功高強的道士何安下（王寶強飾）被師父（李雪健飾）送下山自謀生路。 不諳世事的他來到大千世界，因搶了荷葉雞而拜入醫生崔道寧（範偉飾）的門下。 老闆娘玉珍（林志玲飾）如花似玉，同時周旋在丈夫和叔叔道融（吳建豪飾）之間，由此釀成一場悲劇。 此後何安下獨自經營藥房，卻無意中捲入江湖恩怨之中。 他被隱姓埋名的掃地道士周西寧（郭富城飾）高強的武功所折服，自願拜其為師。 與此同時，週的師弟彭乾吾（元華飾）殺氣騰騰找上門來。 而曾與週一同練功的查老闆（張震飾）更將風波推向了高潮。 上山，下山，何安下在短短的時間內悟出了許多真理……
